To effectively prolong the service life of the knife grinder, the key lies in standard operation, regular maintenance and proper use, so as to reduce abnormal wear and faults of the equipment.
1. Pre-start Inspection
1.Inspect all parts of the machine comprehensively to ensure the photoelectric sensor components are intact and dust-free. Check all screws, nuts and fasteners of the whole machine one by one; fasten them immediately if any are loose or fallen off.
2.Clean the feeding guide rail, tool rest, grinding wheel cavity and other parts, and thoroughly remove wood chips, iron filings, dust and sundries to avoid jamming of moving parts by foreign matters.
3.Focus on checking the lubrication level of moving parts such as crankshaft, bearings, transmission chains and slide rails. If the oil is insufficient, add special lubricating oil by drip method. Never run the equipment without lubrication.
4.Inspect wearing parts such as grinding wheel pieces, belts and transmission wheels. Confirm the grinding wheel is free of cracks, chipping and loosening, and the transmission belt is in proper tightness. Replace aging or damaged parts in a timely manner.

2. Standard Operation During Running
1.After starting the equipment, run it at no load for a while to check whether the operating sound and rotating speed are normal, and observe any abnormal noise, vibration or oil leakage. Once any fault is found, stop and power off the machine immediately, then contact professional maintenance personnel for repair. Never operate the equipment with faults, otherwise internal parts will be further damaged.
2.Process workpieces strictly in accordance with the rated specifications of the equipment. Do not use the equipment for over-size, over-hardness or over-load processing. It is forbidden to use this machine as a substitute for other mechanical equipment, so as to avoid equipment overload damage and potential safety accidents.
3.Concentrate on working and do not look around or be absent-minded. Operators shall wear well-fitted work clothes. Loose clothes, ornaments and long loose hair are prohibited to prevent clothes or hair from being involved in rotating parts. Do not keep any part of the body close to dangerous areas such as grinding wheels and transmission mechanisms.
3. Personal Protection & Operation Requirements
Operators must wear protective goggles and dust masks during operation to prevent splashing debris and dust from hurting the face and respiratory tract. Wear anti-slip and wear-resistant labor gloves, and hold the workpiece firmly to avoid slipping. This not only ensures personal safety, but also reduces the impact of workpiece shaking on grinding wheels and tool rests.
4. Daily Cleaning & Regular Maintenance
1.After each operation, turn off the power in a timely manner, clean dust and debris on the machine surface, grinding wheel cover and workbench, and keep the whole equipment clean. Prevent dust accumulation from corroding parts and affecting mechanical precision.
2.Establish a regular maintenance system:
Check the lubrication system every day;
Refuel and remove dust for transmission parts and guide rails every week;
Fully inspect wearing parts, circuit lines and switch components every month, and fasten wiring terminals.
3.Use the specified type of lubricating oil for the equipment. Do not mix grease for different parts, so as to avoid lubrication failure and dry friction of parts.
5. Consumable Selection & Parts Management
Always use original factory supporting consumables such as grinding wheels and grinding discs. Inferior consumables not only lead to poor grinding effect, but also accelerate wear of spindles and bearings, greatly shortening the service life of the equipment. When replacing grinding wheels, cutters and other accessories, operate in strict accordance with installation standards to ensure firm assembly and qualified coaxiality.

6. Shutdown & Storage Management
1.Before long-term shutdown, thoroughly clean the whole equipment, apply anti-rust oil on metal moving parts for anti-rust treatment.
2.Place the equipment in a dry, ventilated and flat indoor area, far away from humid environment, corrosive gas and water accumulation, to prevent fuselage rust and circuit short circuit caused by moisture. Do not stack heavy objects on the equipment to avoid fuselage deformation.
